I have always been a practical person. When I graduated from UW-Madison with a B.A. in history, the practical reality of possessing a liberal arts degree with no distinct career path quickly set in. So, I attended law school part-time while also starting my legal career as a paralegal at J Peterman Legal Group. When I received my J.D. from Marquette University Law School and became a licensed member of the State Bar of Wisconsin, I accepted a position as an attorney with JPLG – now I oversee the firm’s Wisconsin civil litigation group. My practice allows me to work on some of the firm’s most complex civil matters and bring them to a resolution. I have developed skills in discovery methods and trials as well as appellate activity. In addition to handling State Court actions, I have defended clients against TILA, RESPA, CFPBA FDCPA and other Federal claims, and I am admitted to practice in the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, and U.S. District Courts for the Eastern District of Wisconsin, Western District of Wisconsin, Northern District of Illinois, Southern District of Illinois, Northern District of Indiana, and Southern District of Indiana.
On a more practical side, I am also experienced with representing clients in various general real estate matters including closings, condition report litigation, and building code violations.
